Award Winning

     I guess it's only fitting that my first official post on this blog is to tell you that I'm award winning :)

     I just got back from our annual PPMA (Professional Photographers of Mississippi/Alabama) convention. I enjoy it so much - every year we hear THE best speakers and it's not just all about business either! This year we heard Jeremy Cowart on the first night and he is doing BIG things with his photography! He really encouraged us to "do something" with our photography... and our lives!

     Each year, you can enter your "State Photographic Competition", where, in PPMA's case, Professional photographers from Mississippi & Alabama compete against each other and are judged by certified judges from the Professional Photographers of America, the Nation’s Leading Photography Organization. This was my first year entering, but I ended up winning the "Distinguished Photographer" award in the Wedding Candid category! I'm already thinking about what to enter for next year!
