Welcome to Southern Exposure Photography!
Thank you for your interest in Southern Exposure Photography
Photography is my passion and I am in awe every day that I get to do a job I love and preserve memories for a lifetime.
I received my Associate's Degree in Photography and Film Communications from Calhoun Community College in 1998. I immediately went to work in a dark room for an aerial mapping firm. While working there, I enrolled in Athens State University and received my Bachelor's Degree in 2007. I very much believe in continuing education and in 2020 I became a Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America.
As a married mom of 2, I completely understand the struggle of coordinating a family photo session. I'm here to make your session as stress free as possible. Whether you are in need of family pictures, senior portraits, weddings, or headshots, you can trust that I have the experience and the knowledge to deliver a professional product every session!
At 9 years old, I received my first 110 camera and I was in love! I knew right then I wanted to be a photographer. The road to my "dreams" has been long and winding and sometimes bumpy and some days it looks like a roundabout, but I am SO blessed to be where I am today!
We live on a small hobby farm in Toney, Alabama. I love all things outdoors (gardening, camping, fishing, etc.) and my goats, chickens, rabbits, and dogs take up a LOT of my time, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Especially in these "crazy times" we live in, they really do help me to slow down and enjoy the miracles of life!
